Repeater Maker One of the biggest problems in woodlands communications is to provide good communications from portable radios, in particular, Low Band portable radios. We are delighted to announce that we have an affordable solution. We call it the RM-20/SRU, a combination repeater maker (shown at the left) and a UHF radio (shown below) that can be connected to a Low Band mobile radio to allow a low cost UHF portable such as the HYT TC-610 (See Portable section) to talk as far as the mobile! It can be any brand or model although some are easier to connect than others. If your radio has an accessory connector (generally a 9 or 25 pin female type) on the back of the radio, the installation process is greatly simplified. Custom cables are available for most major brands and models. The third part of the system is the a UHF radio that interfaces with the Repeater Maker and the host Low Band radio. Stationary Radios  Stationary Radio Units (SRU's) are used for a variety of application including being a part of the Repeater Maker system shown above. The more common use is as a fixed office station used in conjuction with mobile or portable radios. The Ritron Jobcom is an excellent choice for such applications. Access and Reporting Systems  A locked gate or door is often required to limit access by the public. The problem is letting those in who need entry.
